Audio-Technica Unveils Unique ‘First Impressions’ Microphone Trial Scheme

01 October 2009

Audio-Technica is to launch an exciting ‘microphone audition’ initiative on 5 October 2009. For the first time, the scheme will allow customers real certainty that they’re buying the right mic for a particular situation.

The First Impressions programme allows users to trial, free of charge, up to two Audio-Technica microphones (supplied by the Company from its Leeds office) from the 40 Series, Artist Series and Artist Elite Series for a two week period. Musicians and singers will be able to test mics in their own specific working environment – with their own instruments, recording set-up or PA rig – vastly expanding their experience of the microphones compared to a limited in-store demo. The extended audition allows real peace of mind, enabling users to perfectly match a microphone to their requirements.

Customers can also rest easy in the knowledge that having invested in the perfect microphone with First Impressions, it will be covered by Audio-Technica’s unique lifetime warranty, which applies to each of the ranges involved in the programme.

Further to the reassurance of making the right purchase decision, customers even benefit from saving money with First Impressions. A discount voucher (redeemable at a participating Audio-Technica dealer and valid for three months) is included with the requested trial microphones and can be applied to the purchase of a mic from any of the above series.

Full details of the programme will be found at http://www.audio-technica.com/firstimpressions where users can register to be contacted by Audio-Technica’s First Impressions team and take part in the scheme.

Audio-Technica Senior UK marketing manager Harvey Roberts says of First Impressions, “This is a very exciting move for Audio-Technica and our customers. We know that buyers find purchase decisions difficult when faced with a microphone range as comprehensive as Audio-Technica’s. The chance to try mics in a real live performance or recording situation means that customers can be completely confident in choosing the right Audio-Technica microphone for them.”
